ONE of Hampshire's top tourist attractions has extended a cut-price entry offer to mark its 35th birthday after an overwhelming response from Daily Echo readers.
Marwell Zoo's promotion to let adults in for just 40p and children for 25p, the price tickets were when the park opened in 1972, has attracted thousands of entries.
In fact so many people have applied for the special price tickets, originally only valid this Sunday June 3, that the tickets will now be valid until December 31, 2007.
Marwell Zoo is also appealing to visitors not to come this Sunday if they can make it another day, as they are anticipating large queues - both of people trying to get into the park and traffic heading to the Colden Common site.
A spokesman for the zoo, said: "To ensure all guests enjoy the best possible experience we are extending the offer so that it is valid any day from June 3 through to December 31 this year."
To qualify for the extension, please send in your vouchers to The Southern Daily Echo Offer, Marwell Zoo, Colden Common, Winchester, Hants, SO21 1JH.
If you have already sent in your vouchers to the Daily Echo then your tickets will arrive in the post, though Marwell say they cannot guarantee that vouchers received after today will be returned in time for Sunday June 3.
