POLICE have named a murder victim who was found lying in a road.
Three men have now been arrested as part of the investigation launched after Dean Evans was discovered with serious injuries in Benham Road, Basingstoke.
Two men, aged 20 and 22, have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of the 31-year-old, also from Basingstoke.
It follows an arrest on Friday of a 22-year-old man on suspicion of murder.
Officers were called to an address in Benham Road, Basingstoke, at 5.30am on Friday, to reports of an assault.
When officers arrived they found Mr Evans lying in the road suffering from serious injuries.
He was taken to hospital by our colleagues at South Central Ambulance Service but died a short time later in hospital.
His next of kin have been informed. A post mortem has taken place to establish the cause of death.
Detective Inspector Simon Baker said: "Officers will remain in the area overnight and into tomorrow as we continue our investigations.
"If anyone has any concerns or has information that may assist with this investigation then we would ask them to call us via 101, quoting 44160133129."
