Lifeboat launched after boat gets into difficulty
A LIFEBOAT was launched this morning after a catamaran came into difficulties in the Solent.
The Cowes RNLI craft went to the aid of the Kix after it developed a steering problem earlier today.
The man on the small yellow catamaran used his mobile phone to all for help with a yacht, the Thunderbolt, first on the scene.
The Thunderbolt towed the Kix until the Cowes lifeboat arrived after 1.25pm and took over, and it was towed to a point off the Little Gloster at Gurnard where the man was able to reach the shore.
