A woman and child had a lucky escape when their car collided today with a motorway crash barrier, near Hedge End, and flipped onto its roof.
The drama happened at about 12.30pm on the westbound lane of the M27 between Eastleigh and Hedge End.
Emergency services sped to the scene to find the Renault Laguna on its roof. No other vehicle was involved.
Paramedics treated the woman who had minor neck injuries. It is understood that the child was not hurt.
Fire crews from Fareham and Hightown were also called to the scene. They helped cleared the debris and washed away oil spillage.
There were traffic delays while a recovery truck removed the car wreckage.
