PET lovers will this weekend be converging on what has become a Hampshire haven for homeless animals.
St Francis Animal Welfare will be holding its summer open day on Sunday between 2pm and 5pm at its Mortimer's Lane shelter in Fair Oak.
Visitors will also be able to see the many animals available for adoption, which currently include 15 cats, six dogs, six rabbits and several smaller animals, such as hamsters and chinchillas.
St Francis regularly take in many other unwanted animals, which are cared for permanently at the shelter.
Visitors will be able to see many of the residents which include a trio of deer, Holly, Ollie and Folly.
All the resident animals, the kennels, cattery and stables are available for sponsorship for only £10 per year, which helps the shelter in providing quality feed and professional veterinary care.
St Francis is a registered charity which has been caring for unwanted and injured animals, both domestic and wildlife, for over 50 years.
Entrance to the Summer Open Day is free, but donations of pet food are always welcome at the gate.
