A DRIVER fled the scene of a four car pileup.
Firefighters came across the four car smash by chance at around 7.30pm Sunday night after a fire crew happened to drive by the incident.
But when they investigated the scene in Anns Hill Road, Gosport they discovered one of the car’s drivers was nowhere to be found.
Hampshire police were also called to the incident that involved a taxi, silver Peugeot, a Mazda and a Mercedes, but by the time they arrived the driver of the Peugeot had vanished.
Police are currently investigating the crash.
An ambulance crew and a rapid response vehicle also attended the smash and treated two patients at the scene but no one needed to be taken to hospital.
