A YACHT has been left stranded after misjudging the tide.
The vessel was caught out as it tried to exit the harbour as low tide approached and as water receded it ended up running aground in Fareham Creek at around midday.
It is currently stuck on a mud and shingle bank.
The Coastguard said a police RIB from the Queens Harbour Master went to check on the boat, which is undamaged, and found the two people on board were happy to wait with the boat.
The yacht is expected to be freed later on this evening as the tide comes in, with high tide around 10pm
