SHE is one of the most famous people in the world – but you won't have seen these pictures of her before.

The Queen celebrates her 90th birthday today and to mark the occasion cruise liner Cunard has revealed a number of unseen pictures of Her Majesty.

She is the only person who was present at the launch of all three Cunard Elizabeths – the first in 1938, QE2 in 1967 and Queen Elizabeth in 2010.

In September 1938 the Queen, then aged 12, was at the launch of the Queen Elizabeth, with the King staying away after a request by Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain.

The occasion at the John Brown Shipyard in Clydebank was the first time the public had heard the voice of the Queen, which was broadcast over the radio.

Her Majesty’s most recent visit was on October 11, 2010, when she named Queen Elizabeth at a spectacular dockside ceremony in Southampton.
