A DRUG dealer who was arrested with narcotics in a children’s play park has been jailed.
Police in Southampton were called to Sandhurst Road play park after reports of drug dealing and neighbourhood officers discovered Ahmed Zelgay.
The 24-year-old was searched and found with 42 “wraps” of cocaine and heroin.
Zelgay, of Morris Road, the Polygon, pleaded guilty to possessing and intending to supply class A drugs and was jailed for two years and eight months during a hearing at Southampton Crown Court.
Detective Constable Andy Spooner said: “Our message to criminals coming here to deal drugs is that you’re not welcome.
"If you suspect anyone of drug dealing in your area or see anyone acting suspiciously, report it via 101.”
