ASDA is urgently recalling its chicken and sweetcorn pasta salad after the food poisoning bug salmonella was found in it.
Salmonella is a bacterium that can cause food poisoning and symptoms include diarrhoea, stomach cramps and sometimes vomiting and fever.
If you have purchased Chicken and Pasta Salad 400g with the date code 'Use By 23rd April', take it back to your nearest store where you will be given a full refund. You do not need your receipt.
Young children, the elderly and people who have immune systems that are not working properly have a greater risk of becoming severely ill if they get salmonella.
The product recall notice said: "Salmonella has been found during routine testing of one sample."
It added: "We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused. If you would like any further information please contact Asda Customer Relations – 0800 952 0101".
