A SOUTHAMPTON pensioner faces prosecution after an alleged hit and run in the Meon Valley.
A 76-year-old man has been reported for the offences of careless driving and leaving the scene of an accident on the B3035 Corhampton Down, near Bishop’s Waltham.
The collision happened earlier this month on the B3035 and involved a red Kia Ce’ed and a motorcycle.
The police took action after a member of the public came forward following a police appeal, said a police spokesman.
A 58-year-old motorcyclist from Waltham Chase was taken to hospital with life-changing injuries.
Now officers say thanks to the public a man has been reported for summons following the crash, which happened at about 3pm on Wednesday, April 13.
The 76-year-old man will now appear in court in connection with the incident.
