FIREFIGHTERS rescued four dogs after a fire at a house.
Fire crews were called to a kitchen fire and rescued four dogs from inside the property.
The house had been empty at the time apart from the canine residents who all escaped unharmed after firefighter saved them from the home in Romsey Road, East Wellow.
The emergency services spent almost an hour and a half battling the blaze which started around 6.30pm.
Two engines from Romsey and one from St Mary's attended the incident which destroyed 25 per cent of the kitchen and caused smoke damage to other parts of the building.
