THREE people have been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a car crash in Hampshire last night.
Ambulance workers rushed to the scene in Stockbridge Road, Winchester, just before 6pm after reports of at least six people involved in a two-car collision.
When they arrived they took three patients with “serious injuries” to Southampton General Hospital.
Emergency services have been on the scene this evening and were forced to close the road in both directions as they dealt with the incident, causing tailbacks along Littleton Lane and Woodman Lane.
The B3049 road has since been cleared.
A spokeswoman from South Central Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 5.44pm to reports of a two-car RTC with between four and six patients. When our teams arrived they assessed and treated three patients before taking them to Southampton General Hospital.
“The patients are suffering serious injuries. We sent four ambulances and one emergency care practitioner to the scene.”
