A FORMER pupil of Mountbatten School and Language College in Romsey, Charlie Dimmock is still a local resident.
Before becoming a star of garden makeover show Ground Force she worked at Romsey's Mill Water Garden Centre.
These days the red-headed gardening goddess spends her time giving after dinner speeches and lectures.
As one third of the Ground Force team, Dimmock spent more than six years working alongside Tommy Walsh and fellow Hampshire gardener Alan Titchmarsh to transform the public's ailing gardens.
Her buxom, bra-less look and flowing red curls were as much a part of the show as the water features she installed.
At the height of her fame she even had her own calendar.
Since appearing on Ground Force Dimmock has presented The Joy of Gardening, Charlie's Gardening Army and has also presented coverage of the Chelsea Flower Show.
In 2004 she appeared in Channel 4 reality show The Games.
Tragically that same year, her mum and stepdad were killed in the Asian tsunami and she took a step away from the limelight.
She is still a prominent figure in Hampshire, frequently opening events and appearing as a guest speaker across the county.
