BREAKFAST TV favourite Fiona Phillips joined GMTV as entertainment correspondent back in 1993. She was soon promoted to LA correspondent and has since become a popular fixture on the famous GMTV sofa.
However, Phillip's media career began in radio.
The former Millbrook Community School pupil put her post graduate certificate in radio journalism to good use working for a string of local radio stations before making the move to local BBC television.
After a stint as a reporter and later as entertainments editor with Sky News, Phillips joined GMTV, interviewing the stars and reporting on major events from LA.
But her presenting skills don't stop at GMTV. The mother-of-two has fronted a variety of other shows including celebrity lifestyle show OK! TV, as well as Sunday Night and the Rich and Famous series for ITV1.
Phillips - who is married to GMTV editor Martin Frizell - also writes columns for The Mirror and Family Circle magazine.
In 2005 she took to the dance floor with professional dancer Brendan Cole as part of BBC1's Strictly Come Dancing series. She was finally knocked out of the show when her ungainly attempts at fancy footwork failed to impress the judges - despite endearing her to the voting public for several weeks.
