DETECTIVES have launched an investigation after the body of a young man was found in a Southampton flat.
Paramedics were called to an address in the city centre at around 5.30pm following a report that a 28-year-old was suffering cardiac arrest.
Two ambulances responded and treated the man at the scene before he was rushed to Southampton General Hospital where he died a short time later. It is not known what the circumstances are.
Last night the scene, in Golden Grove, St Mary's, was cordoned off by police investigating the cause of his death.
They had been called by ambulance crews and arrived shortly after 6pm.
This morning the inquiries were continuing and officers were waiting to carry out a full search of the apartment in a block of flats.
