A MOTORIST has been charged with dangerous driving following a serious collision on the A32 near Wickham earlier this year that left a driver with life-changing injuries.
Andrew Collis, 43, of East Preston in West Sussex has been formally charged and released on bail to appear at Fareham Magistrates Court on Thursday July 5.
At 6.36pm on Friday, February 9, a Renault Clio collided with an ambulance on the A32 at Mislingford at the junction with Buddens Lane.
As a result the ambulance left the carriageway and collided with an electricity post.
The driver of the Renault, an 18-year-old woman from the Swanmore area, sustained life-changing injuries and remains in a serious condition in a specialist care unit in Bath.
The driver of the ambulance and his technician passenger sustained minor injuries though no other vehicles were involved.
