HAMPSHIRE youngsters flocked to Jumping Jaks in Southampton to audition for new dance act Teen Fusion.

Ten young dancers practised some moves on the dance floor to funky floor fillers as they learnt a two-minute dance routine taught by a local choreographer.

Watched by their parents, the teeny boppers were hoping that they would impress 23-year-old Kimberly Smart, who is searching for 15 dancers for the group, which will dance at the under-18 nights at Jumping Jaks over the summer.

Kimberly Smart, 23, a dance choreographer from Southampton who has previously worked as a backing dancer with Busted, said: "We are looking for teenage dancers from 13 to 17 for a teenage group that will be performing at under-18 nights at Jumping Jaks in Southampton in the summer.

"I decided to put this group together because I wanted to break into the teenage market and perhaps doing it as a place like this it would be a little bit cool and would give the teenagers something to do."

Dance classes are being held every Saturday at Jumping Jaks from 2pm to 3pm for youngsters aged 11 to 17 and Kimberly is still looking for more dancers to join Teen Fusion.
