Bays Curry McCowen (BCM), an architectural and rural asset management company in Hampshire, have recently implemented their new digital mapping service which now encompasses more detailed and up to date mapping systems together with the provision of historic maps, up to date aerial photographs and historic photographs.
Improved functionality in this digital mapping system has already proved invaluable to various clients and BCM continue to see increased interest in this service.
Tom Tyrwhitt-Drake from BCM Bays Curry McCowen comments: "We have found our new digital mapping capabilities invaluable to our clients. It is particularly useful where it is necessary to prove historic information and compare it with the current situation.
"Such instances include proving to Planning Authorities previous use of property (for instance whether certain areas form curtilage to a dwelling in previous years or the size of previous agricultural buildings), trying to ascertain whether historic rights of way actually existed and also the situation with the respect to boundary disputes. All these matters are an increasing part of modern rural life and we have found the use of our mapping resources can shorten any dispute or negotiations and therefore reduce costs to our clients."
