A HAMPSHIRE couple have been left with yet another repair bill after a car smashed through their garden wall for the third time in less than a year.
Christine Scott and her partner Alan White say motorists use the road as a rat run and regularly break the speed limit. They are calling on the highways bosses to install traffic calming measures to force drivers to slow down.
In the latest smash a Ford Ka careered through the wall and into the garden of their house in Foxcroft Drive, Holbury, on Saturday night.
As reported in the Daily Echo only two months ago, a Ford Fiesta being driven by a 19-year-old woman from the Waterside veered off Foxcroft Drive and smashed through garden fences before embedding itself in Alan and Christine's garage.
Last September a Peugeot 307 smashed through the garden wall.
A spokesman for Hampshire County Council, the local highways authority, said: "A parish partnership scheme is planned this year to construct pinch points on the approaches to the bend in Foxcroft Drive.
