HAMPSHIRE charities are set to benefit from sharing the work they do with visitors to this year's New Forest and Hampshire County Show.
The show is a registered charity itself, raising money to promote and encourage the development of agriculture, forestry, equestrianism and horticulture.
This year, the huge show, taking place at New Park in Brockenhurst this month, will also host eight local charities.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, which has just launched its first helicopter, will be on hand at the show to discuss its work.
The Bransgore Community Responders will also have a stand at the show. They are a group of volunteers from the New Forest village who are trained by South Central Ambulance Service to be the first on the scene to emergency calls within a five-minute drive of the village centre.
Other voluntary organisations making an appearance at the show this year will be the Hampshire Constabulary Horsewatch dedicated to preventing equine crime, Bournemouth Hospital's Jigsaw Appeal supporting the hospital's facilities in the cancer and blood disease units, the British Red Cross, and the team from the University of Oxford that is creating a genetic map of the UK.
