A MOTHER-of-four and her boyfriend who started a fire at a Southampton house that left a woman seriously injured have had their sentences adjourned.
Sarah Jane Griffiths, 39 and Ivan Fuller 26 both of Kiddlington, Oxfordshire, will undergo psychiatric reports.
Both were convicted of arson after a Southampton Crown Court jury heard how the pair started the fire, in Marston Road, Thornhill, after a drug deal went wrong.
The blaze left a seven-year-old boy and his grandmother needing hospital treatment. At the time of the arson attack there were nine people inside, including five children.
Recorder Nigel Lickley QC adjourned sentencing for up to six weeks until psychiatric reports are completed.
Griffiths had been found guilty of arson when reckless as to whether life would be endangered while her boyfriend had admitted the charge. Both were acquitted of the more serious charge of arson with intent to endanger life.
