AS weekends went, it was a smash hit.
Even the weather was kind most of the time as the Beaulieu Pops got underway in the historic New Forest grounds of Beaulieu Palace.
Topping the bill - arguably - were girl band singing sensations Girls Aloud. But the ladies had plenty of competition from the Australian Pink Floyd and Jules Holland and Lulu.
The Beaulieu Pops have now become one of the established music events of the summer calendar and fans this year found much to entertain.
Organisors said they were pleased with the way the shows went and glad the bad weathermanaged to avoid doing its worse.
