TWO brothers have today denied their part in a brawl after a funeral at a quiet Hampshire cemetery descended into violent chaos.
Police were called to the Hoe Road cemetery in Bishop's Waltham on March 28, during the ceremony for car crash victim, 79-year-old Amaline Barney.
At Portsmouth Crown Court this morning Royston Barney-Smith, 23, of Grange Road, Hedge End, and Ruben Barney-Smith, 27, from Ascot, Berkshire, pleaded not guilty to violent disorder in relation to the incident.
The pair also denied charges of intimidation relating to a phone call made to a witness two days after the fight.
There were so many witnesses to the incident, including 13 police officers, that their trial, which starts on September 17, is expected to take eight days.
