HAMPSHIRE adrenaline junkies are being urged to tackle the world’s biggest inflatable obstacle course for a children’s charity.
BBC’s Children in Need is calling on fundraisers to go Gung-Ho! as the course visits Southampton Common tomorrow.
The obstacle course features inflatable slides, pot holes, gigantic ball pits and a 5,000 square foot moon walk.
Around 5,000 people are expected to descend on Southampton Common to take on the 5k course.
Director of fundraising at Children in Need, Jonathan Rigby said: “Last year we saw groups of friends, family and colleagues bounce around the course raising money for disadvantaged children and young people.
“It was truly a delight to see what a great time everyone was having and this year we’re calling on the public again to put the fun in fundraising, come along to the Common and take on the challenge.”
The charity currently funds 12 projects working with disadvantaged children and youngsters in Southampton, with £543,000 invested locally.
Children in need is also supporting 2,400 projects in communities across the UK that help children facing poverty, deprivation and those who have been the victims of abuse or neglect.
Organiser of the Gung-Ho! event, Alex Winters, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with BBC Children in Need this year and hope everyone is encouraged to come along to one of the events and get involved. It’s a fantastic day out, for such a good cause.”
Entry can be booked at begung-ho.co.uk
