A Hampshire family today issued an emotional plea to help find the "coward" who mowed down their son and left him for dead.
Tony Adams is fighting for life in Southampton General Hospital after being run over by a hit-and-run driver in a city street.
His family, who are at the 27-year-old's bedside, today urged the driver of the car to give himself up.
In an appeal through the Daily Echo they said: "Tony was hit from behind by a coward who drove off, leaving him for dead.
"Someone must know who did this. It could be someone else's loved one next time."
