A WINCHESTER primary school is celebrating new play equipment thanks to a large grant from a local shopping centre.
All Saints Primary School in Highcliffe unveiled the new play area, including a climbing frame, bean bags, nets, skipping ropes and benches.
Doing the honours was city mayor Chris Pines and Marilyn Parker, regional manager of the Brooks Shopping Centre.
Then children from the 120-pupil school gave a display to show how the equipment should be used.
Mandy Dewhurst, PTA chairman, said: "The school is ecstatic. It makes a difference. The old wooden climbing frame was condemned. The new one is metal and brilliantly coloured. All Saints is a small school and it needs a lot of new things funding-wise."
Two of the pupils are shown with some of the equipment
