IT is one of the biggest ever wins on the Daily Echo's Find the Ball competition and has left one lucky reader absolutely stunned.
Annette Varcoe-Baylis, pictured above, will be celebrating her 60th birthday in style later this month after scooping our massive £26,000 jackpot in the weekly contest.
And the mum-of-four told how she accurately predicted where the missing ball would be by simply picking a spot where she thought it was least likely to appear.
Speaking from her Highfield home, Mrs Varcoe-Baylis said she had been playing the competition regularly for what she called a "fair number of years" and said she had a funny feeling that this would finally be her week.
"I can't believe it," the stunned teaching assistant said. "I have never won a prize like this before. It is not often something like this comes your way."
"I have been entering the competition long enough and you read about other people winning or see the same names and I thought maybe it should be my time.
Birthday present She added: "It will make a nice birthday present for me. I will probably sit on it for a while and think about what I will do with it. There are so many things I could use it for. In the long-term there could be a holiday but I am not sure where."
Mrs Varcoe-Baylis's children Michael, 28, Alison, 26, and twins Catherine and Victoria 25, will also be in for a treat after her windfall.
She added: "I have got four children so I have no doubt I will buy them something as well."
Explaining how she picked the spot that led to her jackpot win she said: "I was so way out the week before so I thought that instead of putting it where I think it's going to be I will put it where I don't think it's going to be.
"I don't watch football really unless there is something major on so don't really have the benefit of knowing the game so my pick is totally random."
Mrs Varcoe-Baylis's win means the Daily Echo Find The Ball competition starts all over again tomorrow. Don't forget to pick up your copy of the Daily Echo for a chance to win this week's £6,000 jackpot.
