The Winchester office of leading international restaurant agents, Christie + Co, is delighted to announce the recent freehold sale of Rouille Restaurant in the High Street of Milford-on-Sea, near Lymington, Hampshire.
Mohammed Muktadir, an experienced Southampton-based Indian restaurateur, has purchased the restaurant from Phil and Janine Cooper, who had owned and operated it for four years. They are now venturing into the pub trade, having recently become the lessees of the Crown Inn in Everton, near Lymington.
Located just three miles from the Georgian town and yachting haven of Lymington in the heart of the New Forest, Milford-on-Sea is one of the very few remaining coastal villages on the south coast. The village retains much of its character with a village green, a long beach, stunning coastal views, magnificent woodland and cliff-top walks. It is very popular with tourists and day-trippers.
Rouille Restaurant is located in the heart of Lymington and occupies a refurbished period property with a 30-cover restaurant with bar area, a large commercial kitchen and generous storage areas, three-bedroom owner's accommodation, a rear courtyard and private parking for up to three cars.
Vicky Moody of Christie + Co comments: "Freehold restaurants are rarely available in this highly sought-after area of Hampshire and we received a high level of interest from prospective purchasers."
Christie + Co sought £450,000 for the freehold interest in Rouille Restaurant, which was sold for an undisclosed figure.
