A HAMPSHIRE council is holding a sports day to get the county active.
From horse-back falconry, to gundogs, five packs of hounds ranging from foxhounds to teckels, a family dog show and have-a-go fishing, archery and clay pigeon shooting, the Hampshire Country Sports Day has got it all.
The fun, family event at Tichborne Park, near Alresford, on Sunday September 10, will include more than 50 trade stands.
Renowned game chef Lee Maycock will take visitors on a ultra-low food miles journey from field to fork, by butchering and cooking a roe deer shot on the Tichborne Estate.
Tickets will be available on the gate from 9.30am and cost £12. Under-14s get in for free.
