A HOST of exciting activities and entertainment were on offer at the Mela Festival in Eastleigh.
Former Saints' FA Cup-winning manager Lawrie McMenemy was a guest of honour as the town was transformed into an explosion of colours and culture for the 12th annual event.
Mr McMenemy kicked off the event, which took place at the Recreation Ground, with celebrations going on until 6pm.
Shelina Permalloo, 2012 Masterchef winner, was on hand to hold a cooking workshop whilst a variety of activities such as creative crafts, kite making, face painting, Taekwondo and Indian martial arts were enjoyed.
The free festival is organised every year by the Eastleigh Asian Welfare and Cultural Association (AWCA) and aims to bring different cultures together and offer residents a day of family fun.
