THESE cases were recently heard at Southampton Magistrates’ Court:

John Daniel Collins, 28, of International Way, Southampton. Found guilty of making threats during a phone call. Community order made and ordered to carry out 80 hours unpaid work. Ordered to pay £150 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

Nathaniel Robert Bedden, 41, of Northlands Road, Eastleigh. Pleaded guilty to assault. Community order made and ordered to carry out 120 hours unpaid work and £200 compensation.

Jonathan David Dixon, 38, of no fixed address. Pleaded guilty to stealing two bottles of vodka from Tesco in Eastleigh, breaching a conditional discharge. Sent to prison for 56 days.

Kini William Hailstone, 22, of Lydgate Road, Southampton. Admitted breach of community requirement of suspended sentence. New drug rehabilitation requirement made. Also pleaded guilty to stealing £180 of perfume from Boots in Southampton and failing to surrender to Southampton Magistrates’ Court, and stealing a games console and DVDs. Given two-month prison sentence suspended for 12 months.

Benjamin Cardy, 27, of St Mary Street, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting words to a police officer and damaging a window. Discharged conditionally for 12 months and ordered to pay £256.80 compensation. Ordered to pay £85 costs.

Andrius Jotkus, 35, of Kent Road, St Denys. Pleaded guilty to stealing three men’s aftershaves from John Lewis and two T-shirts from Superdry. Also pleaded guilty to failing to surrender custody. Fined £475. Ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

Vladislav Kehayov, 28, of Maritime Avenue, Marchwood. Pleaded guilty to driving while under the influence of alcohol. Community order made and disqualified from driving for 24 months. Ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

Christopher O’Reilly, 41, of no fixed address. Pleaded guilty to stealing a toy car from Argos. Committed to prison for 28 days.

Thomas Donaldson, 53, of Northam Road, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to using threatening or abusive words or behaviour. Fined £150. Ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

Andrew Melrose, 43, of Burnetts Fields, Eastleigh. Pleaded guilty to stealing Codeine tables from Boots. Fined £250 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

Alex Lawler, 22, of Cossack Green, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place. Discharged conditionally for six-months. Ordered to pay £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge.

Trent March, 23, of Church Road, Cowes. Pleaded guilty to driving while under the influence of alcohol. Community order made and disqualified from driving for 18 months. Ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

Liam Kemp, 18, of Cranbury Place, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to stealing a £60 Xbox controller from Sainsbury’s. Also pleaded guilty to stealing two pedal bikes worth £170 and driving while disqualified from driving. Community order made and disqualified from driving for 12 months. Ordered to pay £170 compensation.

Ieuan Alexander Reed, 33, of Andrew Lane, Ashley, New Milton. Pleaded guilty to stealing four legs of lamb worth £61 from Tesco and failing to surrender to Southampton Magistrates’ Court. Community order made, fined £25 and ordered to pay £25 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

Andrew Mark Wardlaw, 37, of Laburnum Crescent, Hythe. Pleaded guilty to assault by beating. Fined £40 and ordered to pay £30 costs and £30 victim surcharge.
