A MAN had to be pulled out of the water and rushed to hospital after being blown out of his boat in choppy Solent seas.
Spotted by his red and yellow life-jacket, a cross-Solent Red Jet called the UK Coastguard to launch an emergency rescue this afternoon.
Southampton Harbour launched the Pathfinder, on which crews plucked the man to safety before the Cowes lifeboat could be deployed at 1.10pm, leaving them to pull in the empty RIB.
The man was taken to St Mary’s Hospital in Newport after he was taken to Cowes.
