THE case against a Hampshire teacher accused of shutting a pupil in a cupboard has been dropped.
Prosecutors have decided not to proceed with the case against Carol Hutchison, Southampton Crown Court was told.
Mrs Hutchison had been charged with common assault and false imprisonment against a 12-year-old girl.
The allegations against the 57-year-old, which she had denied, were said to have happened at Woodlands Community School in Southampton.
The food technology teacher now faces an investigation by the school before she will be allowed to return to the classroom.
