YOUNG chefs cooked up a storm in the kitchen as they took part in their school's very own version of Masterchef.
The Year 8 and 9 pupils at Wildern School in Hedge End were invited to design and make a healthy main meal.
A panel of judges, including Nic Pothas, James Adams and Iain Brunnschweiler from Hampshire County Cricket Club, tasted all of the pupils' culinary creations.
The top three winning chefs were Tom Harding, aged 13, Andy Welsh, aged 14 and Rory Burgess, aged 12.
Teacher Sarah Manning, who helped to organise the competition, said: "The event was a fantastic success."
