SHE prefers classical music to pop music and could soon be finding her way on to our TV screens.
Meet Sophie Hambley, 14, the latest rising star to join the Daily Echo's Hampshire Top Talent search.
Sophie, a pupil at Toynbee School, Chandler's Ford, has been singing since she was a toddler. She is waiting to see if she landed a place singing at the BBC's Proms at the Royal Albert Hall.
The talented teenager auditioned alongside 14,000 hopefuls and is now one of 80 singers waiting to see if they will be singing at the festival.
Sophie, who lives in Chandler's Ford, said: "I've been competing in loads of competitions since I was eight years old. I like singing classical music but do a bit of pop music as well.
"I sing at church weddings for friends and family along with the choir and would love to be a singer one day or become a singing teacher."
