FINAL preparations for the New Forest Show were thrown into chaos today when stallholders suffered lengthy delays getting on to the showground.
The trouble began when the drivers of four lorries left their vehicles on one of the main routes on the site of the show in New Park, Brockenhurst, at 10.30am. Two of them have since been removed.
Organisers have consequently been forced to stagger the number of lorries and other vehicles delivering stands and other items for the show.
A breakdown that occurred on the A337 at Brockenhurst this morning added to the delays.
Show spokesman Jackie Neylon said: "Everyone is moving but very slowly because of a breakdown and the unfortunate actions of a few selfish drivers."
She said that where possible visitors should come to the show by train to Brockenhurst railway station and catch the pay-as-you-go shuttle bus to the show.
