THE motorcyclist who died after a crash involving a container lorry in Southampton has been named as Steven Terrell.
The 30-year-old, of Brading Close, was riding his Suzuki bike on Western Avenue after leaving Southampton Container Port when he apparently lost control and fell from the bike.
As reported earlier, Mr Terrell and the bike slid across the carriageway and collided with a blue container lorry, being driven by a 37-year-old man from Romsey, travelling in the opposite direction.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The collision happened at approximately 7.23pm last Friday, July 20.
Roads Policing Officers at Totton are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
