AT just 11 years old, Madonna wannabe Katie Welsh has plenty of singing years ahead of her.

So she isn't getting Hung Up over her singing dreams just yet.

Bitterne C of E School pupil Katie harbours dreams of belting out hits by her favourite singer Madonna on any one of the reality TV talent shows. In the meantime along came the Daily Echo's Hampshire's Top Talent to take her talents to a wider audience.

Katie, who also lists Nelly Furtado and Rhianna as her favourite singers, has been proving she is a Little Star with a microphone in her hand since she entered her first singing competition three years ago while on holiday in Devon.

Katie, from Chessel Crescent, Bitterne, said: "I really enjoy singing because it challenges my voice, I can learn to sing at higher pitches and it is exciting.

"I am hoping to go on Stars in Your Eyes or one of the other shows one day."

Katie's proud mum Andrea, 43, said: "She is very talented. A lot of people have told me she should have a recording contract."
