POLICE are hunting a man who has been approaching women and girls and making lewd comments at bus stops.

On occasions the man, who is operating in parts of Southampton, has also carried out minor assaults and indecent acts.

Officers say that since the start of June he has struck at least five times but they believe there may have been more incidents which have not been reported.

Posters warning people about the man are now being places around bus stops in the Millbrook and Portswood areas.

Police are also urging witnesses and potential victims to come forward with any information as they step up their search for the man responsible.
