ELDERLY residents are being targeted by youngsters in the Eastleigh borough by knocking on the doors and then running off.
Police say it can leave community members feeling frightened, unsafe and isolated and have appealed to parents to speak to children about the impact it can have on older people.
Across Hedge End and West End in Wellstead Way, Wildern Lane, Hobb Lane and Quob Farm Close, police say residents are being targeted after several reports, with some elderly and disabled.
Hampshire Constabulary said: "This to some may sound minor, but I assure you the impact can be serious.
"Residents can be affected in a number of ways – they can't sleep, they feel anxious and they think nothing will change and it will never end."
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.
