PLANS for a a new £80m ice rink complex for the heart of Southampton can today be revealed.
The scheme will have a 28-storey block of flats, making it the tallest building in the city, and finally end Southampton's 19-year wait for a new rink.
The 1,200-seater Olympic sized ice rink proposals also include a four or five star restaurant and two sports halls.
City property developer Colin Warburg has put a bid into the city council to buy the site near Charlotte Place for the proposal.
The council will decide on Monday whether or not to accept the offer.
