A THATCHED cottage in the New Forest was badly damaged by fire during the early hours of this morning.
Half of the roof was destroyed in the blaze at the two storey property on The Common in Woodgreen, near Fordingbridge.
Ten fire crews were called to the fire just after midnight and spent around four hours at the 20-metre by eight-metre property.
They included firefighters from New Milton, Burley, Brockenhurst, Ringwood, St Mary's, Eastleigh and Fordingbridge. No-one was injured.
