POLICE are hunting a man who attempted to grab a 15-year-old girl as she walked along a busy town centre street in Fareham .
The terrifying incident happened in West Street opposite Aldi's when a man walked towards the victim from the opposite direction and made a bid to grab her.
However when his attempt was unsuccessful he then walked away.
Police have launched an investigation into the attempt and have also issued a description of the man.
He is described as white, aged 35 to 45 years-old, with short brown hair, and is roughly 5 ft 8ins tall of average build.
The suspect was wearing a short sleeved shirt, black trousers and shoes.
