HAMPSHIRE yachtsman Geoff Holt has passed the halfway mark in his attempt to be the first disabled person to sail around Great Britain.
After spending five days stuck in Whitehills, north east Scotland, because of bad weather, Geoff sailed for seven hours to reach Peterhead yesterday.
Geoff, 41, who is paralysed from the chest down from a swimming accident when he was 18, left Hamble on May 20 but poor weather has slowed his progress.
He has now spent a total of 29 days inactive in various ports - almost half his journey time.
Today, weather permitting, Geoff will take to the water again, bound for Stonehaven.
