AFTER a 30-year break from singing due to a throat problem, one Southampton songstress is once again raising the roof.

Great grandmother Pam MacIntyre used to sing in Southampton pubs but was stopped after an operation on her throat left her unable to hit the high notes.

More recently 67-year-old Pam's voice has recovered its sparkle so she has decided it's never too late to shine by joining the Daily Echo's talent search.

Inspired by 91-year-old Jack Earley who featured in the talent search, Pam sang Kathy Kirby's Can't Help Loving That Man.

Pam, of The Close, Hedge End, said: "I had an operation on my throat and that stopped me singing for years. I have only just started singing again and can hit most notes.

"It's lovely to be able to sing again and I absolutely love it. I used to do loads of singing in pubs around here and have been singing in the house a lot recently. I saw a few older people singing in the Daily Echo and thought I would give it a go too."

Pam did it - so why don't you enter our Hampshire's Top Talent search? Whatever your talent is, we are asking you to send us your videos showcasing what you have that sets you apart from the crowd.
