They originally played on Brendon Green, Millbrook which led to the team becoming Brendon FC.

They later changed their name to Brendon 66 FC to reflect the year they were founded - 1966.

Childrenswear store Smartypants showed their support for the club when, in 1990, they provided shorts and shirts to the Under-13 squad who were Division 2 leaders at the time.

The shop owner Claire Herbert said: “We enjoy supporting the team. They’re lovely young lads.”

A large taste of success came in 1996 when Stuart Devoy captained the team to glory when they won the Premier Division championship.

Another name change took place at the beginning of the 2013-14 season when they took on the mantle of Brendonbushill FC.
