TV viewers will be asked to join the hunt for the sadistic attacker who torched a Hampshire cabbie, the Daily Echo can reveal.
BBC's Crimewatch has filmed a re-enactment of the horrifying moments when 52-year-old Derek Fletcher, pictured right, was throttled and set alight.
The maniac responsible is still at large nearly four months after the attack which sent shockwaves through the cabbie community.
Now it is hoped that featuring the incident on Crimewatch will provide detectives with a much-needed breakthrough.
Mr Fletcher, who is now at home recovering from his ordeal, said: "He definitely needs to be caught because he is obviously desperate and I am sure he will do it again."
