Adventurer Rhys Jones has survived a terrifying tumble into an icy crevasse in the arctic circle.
The record-breaking Hampshire mountaineer suffered the fall in Greenland where he is currently trying to climb the three highest peaks within the arctic circle.
The 21-year-old from the New Forest fell when an unseen 'snow bridge' over the crevasse gave way.
Rhys and his heavy sled then fell down the crevasse only coming to a stop when the sled wedged against the ice.
Fortunately Rhys escaped with only minor injuries and is continuing his expedition.
