MOTORISTS are being warned to avoid the centre of Stockbridge tonight after two trees fell across a major road through the village.
Police said the large trees were blocking the High Street and officers were diverting traffic along Winchester Road, and on to the A30 back into Stockbridge.
A tree surgeon has been called to clear the road which will be closed until 8.30pm tonight.
Delays are also expected on the A30 and surrounding routes.
